Corporate Information
Champlain Planning Press, Inc., is a Vermont-based corporation. Its sole business involves publishing the Planning Commissioners Journal (since 1991), and maintaining the PlannersWeb site (since 1995).The principal owner of Champlain Planning Press, Inc., is Wayne M. Senville, who also serves as Editor of the Planning Commissioners Journal.
Senville is former Director of the Municipal & Regional Planning Assistance program in Vermont's Department of Housing & Community Affairs. Prior to that, he served as a planner and planning manager in the National Park Service's Mid-Atlantic Regional Office. In an earlier career Senville worked as an attorney with the law firm of Freilich, Leitner & Carlisle, focusing on land use law.
Senville holds a Masters degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.
The Office Manager for the Planning Commissioners Journal is Elizabeth M. Krumholz. A true citizen activist, Krumholz served as a member of the Burlington, Vermont, Planning Commission for six years. She is currently a member of the City's School Board.
Assisting the Planning Commissioners Journal on special projects is Bob Kiss. Until last year, Kiss served as Director of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity. Kiss is currently a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing part of the City of Burlington.
The Planning Commissioners Journal and PlannersWeb receive guidance from a volunteer 11-member Editorial Advisory Board composed of both professional and citizen planners. Feedback on draft articles submitted to the Planning Commissioners Journal is also provided by members of an informal article review group (open to any interested individuals).
