The Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities, one of the strongest regional bodies in the nation, is mentioned in the Regional Cooperation section of the Sprawl Guide.

Sustainable Minnesota's web site has available for downloading the report, Two Roads Diverge: Analyzing Growth Scenarios for the Twin Cities Region.

The Minnesota Smart Growth Network is working for responsible strategies for controlling growth. Among the diverse groups making up the Network are: 1000 Friends of Minnesota; Builders Association of Minnesota; Preservation Alliance of Minnesota; Minnesota Farmers Union.
