According to Aul, this photo "shows some new developments that were built within the last one and a half years ... some home owners were surprised when a big Fred Meyer store was built right across ther backyard." (Editor's Note: the only thing missing between the store and the residences appears to be a moat!) Aul took the photo while doing an internship with 1000 Friends of Washington. He is currently a Grauate Student in Geography in Giessen, Germany, writing his thesis on urban sprawl in the United States.
